Here are just some of the long list of improvements you will feel and see after installing your Complete Home Filtration system:

1.  Your Skin

Your skin is your largest organ, in fact the average person’s skin covers an area of 2 square meters! One of the main functions of your skin is to absorb and excrete, meaning that the water that you shower in and wash your face with is just as important as the products that you wash with. With everyone’s desire to keep their skin looking hydrated and youthful, making sure the water your skin absorbs is as clean as your products should be top priority when it comes to your skincare routine.

Chlorine is your skin’s worst nightmare in regards to its health, a Complete Home Filtration system will remove up to 98.5% of the chlorine from the water.
Chlorine is drying agent which can damage your skin with every wash, making it drier and drier as you cleanse your face or shower your body! If your skincare routine includes moisturiser for your face or a lotion for your body, why would you want to add a drying agent to your skin that removes that hydration? All of your anti-aging efforts could be cancelled out by the drying effects of chlorine in your water. Chlorine free water will save you money on expensive moisturisers with a next level skincare routine!

With 70% of your body being made of water, and being advised to drink litres of water per day, the water that you put in your body is important. Drinking filtered water with less contaminants will help improve your health significantly as your body can get right to absorbing that hydrating goodness. Making the switch to filter water has been seen to reduce your risk of gastrointestinal illness. An 18-month study published in the IWA Water Science & Technology Journal stated that:

“a reduction of 30% of the gastrointestinal illnesses was observed in the group consuming the filtered water”

The average person has 100,000 – 150,000 strands of hair, and a single hair has a lifespan of five years! With all of these individual strands and your hair’s long lifespan, the health of your hair is just as important as the health of your skin.

Dry, damaged hair doesn’t look soft, tangles easier, and is prone to split ends and dandruff. Chlorine dries your hair and scalp just like your skin, it can damage your hair leading to early hair loss amongst other issues.

If you are going to keep the hair on your head for five years, ensuring that it is is healthy and strong is essential. That’s why having de-chlorinated, fresh water is the best choice for your hair, to keep it shiny, strong, soft, and to prevent breakage.

Everyone loves shiny, clean dishes. Don’t you hate it when you pull a glass out of the dishwasher and it comes up dirty?

A 2009 study by the Water Quality Research Foundation found that:

“Detergent savings up to 70% was observed for dishwashing when softened water was used compared to hard water”

Having softened water as opposed to hard water running from every tap in your home means that you can use less detergent in your daily dishwashing. For those who have a dishwasher in their home, the same study concluded that the beneficial effect of softening the wash water is much greater than the use of two tablets rather than one.  So, for all of us that use two detergent tablets instead of one to give their dishes an extra squeaky-clean wash, switching to softened water boasts an even greater benefit than your extra tablet.

5. Your Shower

Have you ever seen a white crust around your shower head, or dry white residue on your shower screens? This dry white crust can be due to hard water, making it hard for you to effectively clean your taps and shower. If you can see what the water is doing for your taps, try to think about what this water could be doing to you!

Shower scale or limescale as it is often referred to builds up every time you run your tap or shower, and every shower that you go without cleaning, is one more shower that makes this build-up even harder to clean.  Filtering your whole house softens the water to help prevent buildup prolonging tap-ware and most importantly saves you time as you won’t need to remove that nasty visual residue as often.

Soft clothes without extra softener? Yes please!

Softened water has many benefits, including softer clothes, the need for less detergent, and more effective stain removal. The Water Quality Research Foundation found in a study from 2010 which confirmed these benefits. Amongst others, they made the following conclusions:

“Stain removal performance increases dramatically when hardness is removed even when dose and temperature are also lowered. Depending on the stain, hardness reduction was up to 100 times more effective at stain removal than increasing temperature or increasing detergent dose.”

In the same study, they also concluded that:

“Softening water will allow use of less detergent and save energy by lowering water temperatures while still maintaining or improving performance.”

A Complete Home Filtration system unlocks all of these benefits for you, so that you can delight in softer clothes, less detergent, and better stain removal!

7. Your Carbon Footprint

Your carbon footprint indicates your impact on the environment. Keeping your carbon footprint as low as possible is increasingly important in today’s world. A surprising improvement that you will observe when filtering your whole house is a decreased carbon footprint.

An energy savings study by the Battelle Memorial Institute set up and tested ten storage-type gas water heaters, and ten instantaneous gas water heaters, and studied their carbon footprint with hard and softened water after 90 days. In both studied water heaters, their carbon footprint significantly decreased when using softened water, as compared to harder water.

Filtered water at home means no more need for plastic bottles, and given the amount of plastic waste being created daily this single fact alone is a driving factor behind the increasing popularity of whole home filtration.
