Our Complete Home Filtration System

CHF’s Whole Home Water Filtration solution is perfectly designed to handle the unique water needs of Australian households, eliminating the need for other filters in the home.

Our flagship model, The Complete Home System CHF-6000, is an all-in-one solution designed to handle the unique water needs of Australian households, eliminating the need for any other filters in the home.

Made in Australia, our UV-protective casing is designed for Australian conditions – keeping your system cool in summer and protected from harsh elements.

Our system has a high flow capacity of up to 48 litres per minute and can be configured with a selection of filtration options to target specific water treatment needs depending on inflow water quality.

Complete Home Filtration systems are all WaterMark certified for your peace of mind, and our manufacturing facilities are ISO9000 certified.

We use high-grade carbon and premium components for all our products, with all filtration media independently certified to guarantee that both our products and manufacturing procedures are of the highest quality and deliver optimum performance at all times.

Usually configured for softening and filtration, the CHF-6000 can deliver clean water filtered to 1-Micron—which is 5x more thorough than our competitor all-home filters—to remove up to 98.5% of chlorine and its disinfection byproducts, along with heavy metals, pesticides, and a wide variety of organic compounds.

The softening resin also significantly reduces limescale and hard water damage by absorbing calcium and magnesium ions, protecting tapware, fixtures, shower screens, and water-using appliances from mineral deposits.

Due to the hi-flow design, this system delivers premium water pressure performance with no noticeable drop in pressure for homes with normal operating inflow pressure.

The combination of 5x finer filtration with less than 5% reduction in flow rate makes this system an industry-leading better water solution.

Whole Home Water Filtration

Better water using your whole home water filtration means just that – for your whole home. Rather than confining the benefits of better water to a single filtered tap, the Complete Home Filtration system is a comprehensive solution for ensuring that all the water in your home is purified and free from contaminants.

Our custom whole home water filtration systems are configured with four different stages of filtration, each targeting different impurities to provide clean and safe water for drinking, cooking, bathing, and other household uses.

Our Complete Home Filtration water filtration system begins by removing larger particles such as dirt, rust, and sediment from the water. This initial step helps protect subsequent filters and improves overall water clarity.

The water is then softened with a dedicated ion-exchange sodium resin, significantly reducing limescale and hard water damage, before passing through a high-grade, 1-micron carbon block to adsorb and reduce organic compounds, chlorine, and other chemicals that can affect the taste and odour of water.

Our systems also incorporate a KDF 55 mixed media filter specifically for the removal of heavy metals, as these particles can sometimes remain intact after the previous filtration stages and are high on many consumers’ lists of priorities for contaminant removal. These 4-stages are crucial for enhancing the taste of drinking water and ensuring it is “the best” for your family’s daily use.

For those seeking the highest level of water purification, you can opt for an additional reverse osmosis water filter to complement your home’s filtration system.

RO systems use a semi-permeable membrane to effectively remove dissolved solids, heavy metals, PFAS/POFA, and other unwanted chemicals and contaminants that may not be effectively captured by our whole-of-home filtration steps.

As the RO system doesn’t need to balance the thoroughness of its filtration with maintaining water pressure (the whole-home system’s high-flow design reduces water pressure impacts to less than 5%), it is able to focus entirely on providing the purest water possible to a single tap.

This additional measure significantly improves water quality by reducing a wide range of potentially harmful substances, ensuring your water is as pure as can be.

Complete Home Filtration systems offer a versatile solution to water purification. They are professionally installed by our team of qualified plumbers at the point where water enters the house (whole-house filters), providing comprehensive filtration for all water used in the household.

Once installed, all raw water entering your home will pass through our unique 4-stage filtration system to deliver clean, freshly filtered water to every tap and water outlet in your home.

At Complete Home Filtration, we understand that every home is unique. That’s why our whole-home water filtration systems are not just off-the-shelf products; they are 100% customised to the unique needs, characteristics, and challenges of your home and water.

Whether your water has particularly high sediment levels or you have specific preferences about chemicals like fluoride, your system will be configured to address your specific circumstances.

BENEFITS FOR APPLIANCES AND HEAVY WATER CONTACT AREAS

Whole home water filtration systems are beneficial for personal health and wellness, as well as for household appliances and areas with heavy water contact. Utilising a Complete Whole Home Water Filtration system can significantly extend the lifespan of these appliances and maintain the pristine condition of your home.

Unfiltered water often contains minerals like calcium and magnesium that can build up over time and cause scaling in appliances like dishwashers, washing machines, and water heaters. This scaling can reduce the efficiency of these appliances and lead to costly repairs or replacements.

Our whole home water filtration system absorbs and reduces these hard minerals, minimising the risk of scale build-up and contributing to the longevity of your appliances.

Appliances using filtered water tend to perform more efficiently. For example, washing machines and dishwashers run more smoothly, as filtered water is free from particles that may clog their systems. This not only boosts the appliance’s performance but also can lead to savings in terms of energy and maintenance costs.

The presence of minerals in hard water can hinder the water heating process, causing your water heater to consume more energy as limescale builds up around heating elements. By filtering out these minerals, our system can improve the efficiency of your water heater, potentially lowering your energy bills.

Over time, the minerals in unfiltered water can clog or corrode pipes and fixtures, leading to plumbing issues and unexpected costs. Filtered, softened water helps maintain the integrity of your home’s plumbing system, extending its lifespan and saving you from potential repair or replacement costs.

Areas with heavy water contact like bathrooms and kitchens can also benefit enormously from filtered water. Minerals and chlorine in unfiltered water can leave residue on surfaces, staining sinks, bathtubs, and kitchen fixtures, and causing unsightly spots on glass and ceramics. These cosmetic blemishes can lead to permanent damage if left untreated, etching glass and collecting bacteria in porous stone bench tops. Filtered water helps keep these surfaces clean and shining, reducing the effort and expense of constant deep cleaning.

By integrating a Complete Home Filtration system into your home environment, you’re not only enhancing the health of your household but also ensuring the longevity and optimal performance of your appliances and maintaining the cleanliness and aesthetics of your home. It’s a comprehensive solution for better living.

At Complete Home Filtration, we understand that every home is unique. That’s why our whole-home water filtration systems are not just off-the-shelf products; they are 100% customised to your specific needs, water issues, and home. There are multiple different sizes, types, and configurations of filters available, so prices will vary from one home to the next.

We complete a FREE in-home water consultation to allow for an accurate quote.

This consultation involves a quick site visit from one of our friendly water technicians to carry out a water test, discuss and determine the type of filters you require for your family, and conduct a site inspection to estimate the cost and placement of your installation.

Broadly speaking, we have systems that range from $1,400 to $6,825. The most affordable entry-level system involves installing a Reverse Osmosis filtration system for drinking water ONLY. For the fully installed whole-home systems, exact pricing is influenced by factors such as the size of your home and family, the hardness of your water, the types of treatment chemicals used in your area, and more.

We understand that people often are looking for a guide on price as part of their research before making a purchase decision or committing to organising a quote. Some approximate costs are:

  • CHF Reverse Osmosis: RRP starts from $1,496*, with annual filter replacement cost of $144**
  • CHF-6000 Complete Home Filtration system: RRP starts from $4,999, with an annual filter replacement cost of $277**

Please note:

  • *The above pricing is an approximate guide only; systems come in 10-inch and larger 15-inch models, and prices do vary state by state.
  • **The approximate base cost of the replacement filters noted is also factored on CHF subscription pricing – see below for more details.
  • Plumbing variables include pavers, excavation requirements, concrete, artificial lawn, labour required to identify mains pipe, stone bench tops, internal installations, pipework materials, available space under sink and local plumbing regulations.
  • RO and Premium options/extras include alkalising, re-mineralising, and choice of 3-way mixer tap, standalone tap etc.
  • Initial cost and annual filter replacement costs depend on the type of filtration media used and how your system has been customised.

With whole home water filtration, we recommend every 6 to 12 months, as filter exhaustion depends on a number of different factors. Because your water’s chlorine and chemical content can vary significantly over time, it is very hard to say exactly when your filters will need changing.

We can say that the average home in Perth or Sydney changes their filters every 9 months. For homes with only 2 people or low water use, 12 months can be typical. We do not recommend leaving filters for more than 12 months without changing them.

Reverse Osmosis (RO) filter changes are performed every 12 months as per industry practice for non-backwashing filters, and the membrane is checked every two years for performance during the scheduled service. Depending on water quality, membranes can last 2 to 4 years.

The simple answer is that we will let you know. Once your unit is installed you will be added to our database. This activates your warranty and also places you in our reminder system for filter changes. We will contact you after roughly 8 months to remind you about your filters, depending on the filter replacement cycle you’ve been placed on (customised based on your system configuration and water quality/usage).

However, any time from 6 months onwards, if you notice any change in the taste or smell of your water you may need to change the filter early. If in doubt, you can buy DPD tabs from Big W or any pool shop and test your water yourself to see if any chlorine is coming through. If you have a pool, you can use your existing pool test kit.

If you need to order a new set of filters less than 8 months after your previous filter change, you can reach out to us by calling 1300 693 458, emailing filters@completehomefiltration.com.au, or sending us a message on Facebook or Instagram with your email and contact number so we can look you up in our database and send you a link to purchase a new set.

Our easy-to-use Filter Replacement Subscription makes it easier than ever to keep on top of your filter replacements – and saves you money in the process!

By opting for an Annual or Monthly Subscription, you can spread out the filter replacement costs and avoid larger one-off payments. You’ll still have access to all the filter installation options, plus an exclusive discount just for our subscription members! Lock in your savings by switching to our subscription model for your next set of filters.

NOTE: The filter subscription model is paid in advance, not buy-now-pay-later. The cost of your next filter set must be paid in full before delivery, so existing customers must complete their current filter cycle and purchase a new set of filters upfront before beginning their filter subscription for subsequent cycles.

Although many of our customers report a dramatic difference in their skin and the skin of their children, especially where underlying skin conditions may have been irritated by chlorine in water, we cannot make any health claims like this about our products.

The causes of extreme skin conditions such as eczema and dermatitis are not fully understood in the medical community. Many believe them to be diet or digestion-related. However, many health professionals, especially in the natural health spheres, have stated that removing chlorine and chlorine by-products prior to bathing and showering is beneficial for those with sensitive or easily irritated skin – and even if you don’t the difference still feels great!

The main difference in terms of contaminant removal is the inclusion of fluoride, hormones, and pharmaceuticals. Many consumers are concerned about the removal of fluoride and other stubborn chemicals or contaminants, especially with the growing prevalence of recycled water. In this case, an additional RO unit that converts the Complete system to the Premium is recommended.

Reverse Osmosis is not recommended for the whole home due to the water waste involved in ‘washing’ the water, but it is necessary for maximum contaminant removal from drinking water. If you have no concerns about fluoride in the water or other potential trace elements, then the level of filtration provided by the Complete system is sufficient. The Complete system filters down to 1 Micron and removes up to 98.5% of chlorine and other contaminants like pesticides, heavy metals, and chlorine by-products.

Yes! Similar to our Mains Water Systems, we optimise and personalise our filters to better suit your needs and your water tank. Our rainwater systems utilise the same high-quality sediment filtration that sets our industry-leading mains system apart, while also including ultraviolet disinfection to neutralise the bacteria that can contaminate water in the absence of treatment chemicals like chlorine.

The quality and characteristics of your home’s water can vary significantly depending on where it’s coming from, so it’s important to discuss your needs with an expert to make sure you’re getting a filtration solution properly tailored to your specific circumstances. Get in contact with our friendly team and find out which system is suitable for you!

Our Reverse Osmosis (RO) filtration system is designed to remove the highest number of contaminants from your water. It is particularly effective in removing stubborn or dissolved contaminants that slip through conventional filters such as salts, fluoride, hormones, PFAS, and pharmaceuticals. For those who require a more rigorous filtration for their drinking water, this is the ideal solution.

While both water purifiers and water filters work to improve the quality of water, they do so in different ways and to different extents. A water filter is designed to remove impurities from water by means of a physical barrier, chemical process, or biological method. They typically target specific contaminants based on the filter type.

On the other hand, a water purifier is a system that removes all types of contaminants, including bacteria and viruses that are usually smaller than what a filter can remove. These systems can include methods like distillation, deionisation, reverse osmosis, or ultraviolet radiation.

Purification is significantly more thorough than filtration, but it is also typically slower, requires more power, and can only process small amounts of water at a time. Filtration provides a more passive, consistent rate of contaminant removal to significantly improve the quality of your water without forcing you to wait for a usable amount of water to be ready.

Both methods have their strengths and uses. For the most comprehensive improvement to your home’s water, why not try a Premium system that offers both?

While water filters effectively remove a range of contaminants, they may not entirely eliminate certain substances depending on the type of filter. For instance, standard water filters may struggle to remove contaminants like viruses, certain types of bacteria, and specific heavy metals. They also may not effectively remove dissolved solids or substances like pharmaceuticals or hormones. This is why we recommend our Reverse Osmosis filtration system for those who are particularly concerned about the broadest range of contaminants.

It’s also important to make sure your system is configured to the specific chemicals and contaminants in your area. For example, several regions in Australia use a chemical called chloramine as a primary disinfectant. Ordinary activated carbon filters are largely ineffective for removing chloramine, so customers in these regions will need filters configured with catalytic carbon.

While reverse osmosis effectively removes a wide array of contaminants, it can also remove beneficial minerals from water. To reintroduce these essential minerals like calcium, magnesium, mineral salts, and potassium back into the water, a remineralisation filter can be added to the reverse osmosis system. This filter stage will add the beneficial minerals back into the purified water, improving its taste and nutritional profile and keeping your drinking water alkaline. Complete Home Filtration’s RO systems include a post-purification remineraliser by default.

Converting rainwater to safe drinking water involves several steps, including filtration and disinfection. First, it’s important to ensure that your rainwater collection system is clean and well-maintained. Next, the collected rainwater should go through a filtration process to remove any sediment and organic material before being more thoroughly treated or disinfected to neutralise contaminants like bacteria and parasites.

Our rainwater filter system is designed specifically for this purpose, providing an ideal solution for Australian conditions. The CHF-RWW disinfects water, removes sediments with a series of progressively more thorough filtration media, and utilises UV-C treatment to deal with microorganisms. It’s important to regularly test rainwater intended for drinking to ensure it meets safety standards. Always consult with a water treatment expert or local regulations when considering using rainwater as a primary drinking source.
