Our CHF-6000 whole-home unit measures 800mm (H) x 600mm (W) x 235mm (D), approximately the same size as an external unit for a split-system air conditioner.

Allowances

• A 300mm copper pipe loop is required in the mains pipe at the desired location between the water metre and first T-off into the home
• Width 800mm: allow up to 1000mm for front cover removal (screws on sides)
• Height 600mm: allow 1000mm; 300mm for bypass valve below and 100mm on top for cover removal
• Depth 235mm – NOTE: front cover removal required for filter changes
• Weight 23kgs (without water): noggins are required if mounting on the wall which is not brick (or similar)
• Freestanding: The unit will be installed on a stand; ensure no concrete is poured before installation of the unit
• Pipe size: The unit was installed with standard 20mm pipe; if 25mm pipe is required speak with your CHF representative
• Distance: Provisions to be minimum 1m from water meter, or 1.5m if a retic T Junction is needed.
• The CHF system must be installed beyond reticulation

The CHF-6000 is installed on the mains between the water metre and first T-off into the home, and beyond any retic T-junction (if applicable). Check out our install gallery.

Builders should work with the homeowners to select the preferred placement, such as inside the garage, near the meter or gas box or in the garden. 

The builder or architect can note the location on the house plans to enable the provisional plumbing works to be completed.

Most homeowners using our CHF home filtration systems typically experience minimal to no drop in water pressure. Our systems are designed to maintain optimal flow rates while effectively filtering your water. While many of our thousands of clients across Australia report no noticeable change, we recommend allowing for a potential difference of up to 5% in water pressure.
