Why certifications matter

Certifications provide independent evidence that filtration products have been assessed against internationally recognised standards.

Different certifications cover different aspects of water filtration, such as material safety, structural integrity and specific filtration-performance claims listed for the certified product. The way these claims are positioned could potentially be misleading, so it’s important you look out for the right information.

Whole-home filters are responsible for treating thousands of litres of water every month. Certifications indicate that the unit can handle your households daily workload without leaking, bursting or dropping in performance earlier than you expect.

For your home, independently verified laboratory results and certifications mean peace of mind.

The NSF Standard

The National Sanitation Foundation (NSF) is a widely recognised public health and certification organisation. Backed by the World Health Organization (WHO) as an organisation independent of manufacturers, their testing process is rigorous, unbiased and trusted worldwide.

NSF/ANSI standards are widely recognised benchmarks for drinking water treatment products. Certification of CHF products against these standards provides independent evidence of their performance, proving our systems are verified to withstand your home’s water supply.

Our NSF standard

Our testing laboratory

The International Association of Plumbing and Mechanical Officials (IAPMO) is the independent testing laboratory we use to test our systems to strict NSF standards. They’re a global non-profit organisation dedicated to ensuring plumbing equipment protects public health and safety. They put our equipment through its paces so you can rest easy knowing our filtration is backed by scientific evidence.

WaterMark safety standards

WaterMark is Australia’s official tick of approval for plumbing safety and every single Complete Home Filtration product carries the mark

WaterMark certification confirms that certified products have been assessed against Australian plumbing requirements, including structural integrity and material safety. It also assesses products against material-safety requirements for use with drinking water, keeping your home compliant, protected and safe.

While it’s illegal in Australia for a licensed plumber to install a non WaterMark certified product, interestingly it’s not illegal to sell non-certified products! Cheap plumbing products can still be bought, but if they’re installed in the home it could potentially void home insurance from any leaks or flooding. Be careful with cheap online alternatives!
