WATER FILTRATION SERVICE INSTRUCTIONS

Why is It Important to Service Your Home Water Filtration System?

Regular servicing of your home water filtration system is crucial to maintaining its effectiveness and ensuring the continuous delivery of clean, safe water. Over time, water filters can become clogged with contaminants such as sediments, chlorine, heavy metals, and organic compounds. If not properly maintained, these clogged filters can reduce the system’s efficiency, decreasing water quality and potentially allowing harmful substances to pass through. Regular servicing ensures that filters are replaced or cleaned as needed, keeping your water filtration system functioning at its best.

Routine maintenance helps extend the lifespan of your water filtration system. You can avoid costly repairs or replacements by addressing minor issues before they become major problems. Properly serviced systems also operate more efficiently, leading to lower energy consumption and reduced utility bills. In essence, regular servicing protects your health by ensuring you have access to high-quality water and your investment in the filtration system itself.

Complete Home Filtration offers full-service and DIY filter delivery-only options. Chat with our friendly team to discuss which option works best for your family. Filter replacement discounts can apply for filter subscriptions through our corporate partner member benefits schemes.

How to Complete your Water Filtration Service?

  1. Remove the UV protective case by unscrewing the screws on the side of the cover.
  2. Turn the system off by turning the three levers to a horizontal position, as shown in the above diagram.
  3. Relieve pressure by pressing any one of the three red pressure relief buttons on top of the housings. There will be a small spray of water and the gauges will show a pressure drop.
  4. Loosen the filter housings using the supplied wrench (pull the wrench to the left to rotate the housings clockwise) and remove all three old filters.
  5. Remove all packaging from the new filters and insert the new filters into cartridges A and B. Leave C empty for now. Make sure filters are properly seated in the housings and that your old rubber grommets are seated in the new filter heads.
  6. Tighten all housings with the wrench until reasonably firm. Do not over-tighten, as this will make future filter changes more difficult.
  7. Turn the system back on by returning levers to a vertical position as shown on the above diagram.
  8. Turn on a downstream outside tap (or an inside non-mixer cold water tap if no outside taps are available). Allow water to run for 5 minutes to flush any trapped air or foreign bodies out of the system.
  9. Repeat steps 2-8, replacing only cartridge C. Ensure filters are properly seated in housings and that any rubber ‘O’ rings are seated in place.
  10. Congratulations! You have now changed your Standard CHF filter set.
